I like in addition to what hawk says later about like having a new perspective on everything and finding joy or an advantage or a new sense of like connectedness in it hes also been constantly helped and comforted by the people around him that love him lol
Yes do it scared, do it alone, do it tired etc is all fantastic, but what about do it random?
Starting and maintaining new habits is so, so hard. It takes so much energy and can feel too intimidating.
But lifting weights a few times at random when you have the energy is better than not at all. Going for a walk once or twice a month whenever you have energy and motivation is better than not at all. Grabbing a random handful of berries from the fridge is so much better than none at all too. Brushing your teeth whenever you’re in the bathroom and happen to remember and feel up to it is so much better than just not because it’s “not the correct time.”
Yeah it’s not perfect. But it’s something. And random is not for everyone, but. It could be something for some. You can just do it random.
And maybe doing it random can help to start a habit. But it doesn’t have to. Random is always better than nothing.
