im just gonna put this under a readmore and also not put it to my main blog bc im just. annoyed and dont want anyone i know irl to see it cause it’s a rant about my work.

i get my dog on may 27th but now i may have to get him on may 30th because. like. i put in for a day off on may 27th because i wanted to get my pup asap, but my boss said i wasnt allowed to take may 27th off because we already have someone who requested that day off.

okay, whatever. i decided to ask “can you at least schedule me so i get out early?” and she said yes, sure. i can do that for you.

now okay so my “early” schedules are 8-11:30 or 8-12 or even 8-1. but now shes telling me that my “early” shift will end (at the latest) 3:00. 3 fucking oclock. that isnt early. thats the afternoon. the one day i want an early shift after you gave me 5 early shifts for the past two weeks, i cant get it?

so now the LATEST i can get my dog is 4:00, but closer to 4:30 considering the traffic and stuff. the breeder won’t be back home till monday (may 30th) cause it’s memorial day weekend.

i have the 28th-30th off so i wanted to get my pup on the 27th so i had allll weekend to get him comfortable with his new family in his new home, but now i may not be able to fuckin do that because my boss didnt schedule me off on the day i requested.

ive been working there for almost a year and ive been working hard. i never missed a day. i’ve volunteered for schedule changes to help my coworkers with their schedules. ive never called in sick. and ive only requested ONE specific day off (besides may 27th) and that was to visit my sick grandmother.

and you mean to tell me you cant?? give me the 27th off?? because “someone else” requested it?? like?? we’re overstaffed for that day anyway we’re gonna have 3 extra people working that day you mean to tell me you can’t let me have that day off?? like come on.

i’m just really annoyed and i emailed the breeder back and asked her if 4-4:30 was good to pick him up at the latest but it may change if i end up getting out of work earlier. im waiting for her reply and i really hope she says it’s okay.
