I have a question for you about your gorgeous Hannictober art - what model of scanner did you use? (Unless you somehow managed to get quality that clear from digitalizing a photograph, if so, kudos to you) I work mainly with watercolor and don't own a scanner at the moment, but the ones I've tried won't scan light washes. At all. So I figured I'd ask someone whose art looks good after scanning. Thanks in advance!
I use an HP Officejet 4620 to scan my stuff, then tweak the levels in photoshop. For the Hannictober drawings specifically, I selected and removed the white background as well. I’m sure not all of the light washes came through, but it might just be the contrast between the parts that remained and the background that make it look like it all showed up.
@do-not-call-it-art works primarily in watercolour, and her pieces always scan beautifully, even capturing the texture of the paper! I don’t know what scanner she uses, but maybe asking her would be worth a shot as well! :)
