A Call For Help

 This wasn’t how she wanted to spend her evening. A simple walk home quickly turned nasty. Everytime this happened normally she was good at keeping the peace but today? Besides it snowing, she didn’t need this right now. The girl stopped in mid walk through the snow, staring at the three older teenagers who stared down at her with a sneer. All blocking her from her home nearby.

 Even after six months since the ordeal under the mountain she still believed that monsters weren’t the most frightening things around...it was other humans. The girl gripped her backpack tighter in her hands, glaring at the high schoolers blocking her way.

 “If it isn’t th’ freak.” One hissed out, causing the other two besides him to giggle like a pack of hyena sidekicks.

 “Give us wh’ya got kid.” The blond on the left commanded, fixing his beanie that had a skull on it more firmly on his messy bleached hair.

 The girl took a step back. She was too small to fight these guys. Sure she took on a legendary monster once but still she did it all without fighting and no way was she gonna start now.

  Seeing that she wasn’t listening the three growled and started to stalk forwards. “Take it by force fellas!!” And with that they were coming at her with barks of laughter as they did. Frisk didn’t hesitate not to book it towards the woods as fast as she could, panting and looking over her shoulder to make sure she was ahead of them. However doing so only caused her to lose focus on where she was running. Like six months earlier, Frisk tripped down the face of a slippery steep cliff side. Oh man the memories...except there wasn’t a soft bed of grass and flowers at the end of this fall.

 The three boys heard her cry as she free fell all skidding to the end of the cliff to watch with expression of horror. Ooooh crud. They were in trouble now.

 “H-HELP!” Frisk screamed out, desperate for her friends. Her mother. Anyone to hear her call for help. Just like they did all those months ago. For the first time since they had all resurfaced....

 She was scared.

Roleplay Blog Tutorial

Hello guys! This is do-u-remxmber-me’s mun, Serenity, and I had an idea recently that I am now putting into effect. In my rules for this blog I state that if you want to roleplay with me, you have to at least have a page set aside for rules and character biography, especially if this character is an OC.

While I still very much stand by this rule, I do take into consideration that some people just don’t know how to customize their themes so they can have those pages. I see a lot of roleplay blogs that are still using the tumblr default meme and with no other links other then ask, archive, and submit. So I’ve made a tutorial to help you through the process so you can make a nice sparkly rp blog! :D

{{This tutorial will be very basic since I am not a theme builder and don’t know how to code, so its literally the bare minimum. I’m shite with computers and can’t change the actual HTML code itself.}}

Step 1: Pick A Theme

You can use any theme site you want but personally my favorite is at tis link here. This tutorial will be using them as a base.

Scroll through this site and pick a bog theme you like. Don’t worry about colors or backgrounds, that can all be changed later. All you need is to find a format you think will suite your needs. 

When you find one you like, go to the options that says “Code”. It will take you to a pastebin. You want to copy ALL of that HTML. Use the tiny yellow clipboard at the top of the pastebin page, it will do it for you.

Step 2: Add it to Your Blog

Go to ‘Edit Appearance’ on your blog, I’m sure most of you know where that is you have to go into it to make sure your ask and submit options are unlocked. After that click ‘Edit Theme’ and it will take you to the customize page.

What you want to do is click the options at the top that says ‘Edit HTML’ and it will bring you to your blog’s code. 

ERASE EVERYTHING! Everything goes! Gone! Bye-bye! Then just replace it with the one you copied earlier. When you’re done click Update Preview and then Save.

Its very important to save as you go.

Step 3: Customize Your Theme

This is the fun part!

Exit the HTML when you are done you’ll have the Theme Options bar to play with. This is where you change the color scheme, background, images, so on and so forth. Its pretty basic, just find the images you want to use and replace them where it asks and find what colors you like. If you don’t know what something is, I just make it neon green to see what on the page changes. I do this a lot, because every theme is a different and sometimes things are even named differently than others. Honestly this part takes the longest to do first time around because you’re figuring out what you like and where it should go. I know i’m very particular about colors matching.

Step 4: Create New Pages

These next two steps get a liiittle tricky to figure out the first time if you haven’t done it before. My first two roleplay blogs went months without a rules or character page before I finally asked someone.

Scroll down to the very bottom of the Theme Options bar and there will be an +Add Page option. When you click it, it will bring you to another page. This is where you’ll make an extended page with whatever information you want to put on it. 

We’ll use my Sans’ character page as an example. Write down whatever you want this page to be, bio, rules, mun info, ect and title it. Above the title there is a URL. It will ask you to name the rest of the URL, so pick what you want it to be. I put ‘Sans’ because it was for his bio page.

The URL you choose is VERY important for this next step. Save the page and exit to your Theme Options bar again. You’ll now see it is added to the bar and can be clicked on at any time to be edited.

Step 5: Adding Pages to Blog

When you are done creating a page, scroll up a bit and you’ll see some options that say ‘Link’ and ‘Link URL’ with a series of numbers listed next to them. Go to the option that says ‘Link1′ and name it after the page you just created.

Then write down in ‘Link URL1′ the page’s custom URL you made along with it. You don’t usually have to put the full URL, just the extension of it you wrote, but I have seen blogs where it asks for you to paste the whole thing so if one doesn’t work try the other. Be sure to save and go check your blog’s home page to see if the page link appeared and is working properly. If it is you can go back and make as many of these as you want with different purposes! (or at least as many as the theme allows)
