There was a bulk of Commerce in Shenandoah, PA back in the early 20th Century. A bulk of Commerce that like our population from its heights in the 1920’s (30k) has fallen on hard times. As our population fell to its current 6k, so too our opportunities for Business, Education and Art… especially given that PA DCED Carrie’s 15k Housing Units against our poor, impoverished and “rural-blighted” Community. Our children and grandchildren suffer as our Shenandoah Valley School District is denied funds it might have otherwise had access to had our rural blight been acknowledged properly by the #CommonwealthofPennsylvania. This is so very much further exacerbated by people like @mikebloomberg who choose to vilify Coal and by extension, Coal Communities (www.anthraciteappalachia.com). This is picked up in the Press, and other increasingly For-Profit (non-Journalism Corporation owned) information streams who do not stop to consider the plight of America’s Coal Communities. #DoBetterMIKE #AnthraciteAppalachia #ShenandoahPA (pic is of the PA State, Borough COMPLAN I am working on and will have completed prior to 15APR2022 https://www.instagram.com/p/CXLlPRoFUzX/?utm_medium=tumblr
