Do blonds have more fun?
The answer from Nottingham Trent University:
Has found after women dye there hair blond felt significantly more confident, impulsive, excited, rebellious, creative, attractive and able to deal with criticism. The women were shown to gain confidence to express their opinions and make requests they would not normally consider, such as asking for a raise, a promotion, or time off. They also had more confidence with there romantic partners, family members and friends. About half of the participants agreed they would have the confidence to sing or dance in front of strangers or would ask someone out, be the aggressor.
They would be more likely to help those in need. The most popular reason behind women dying their hair is to get attention from people they did not know.
Participants aged between 25 and 66 years old. Participants favored light and dark blond, chestnut and dark brown.
Lead researcher, Dr Mark Sergeant said: “These findings are really interesting, and show that the effects of hair dying among women can be quite significant. Not only were confidence and mood levels elevated, but inhibitions seemed to be alleviated too.”
