Subordinate || Jesse & Travis
Travis was never ever letting someone talk him into going out ever again. Some guy he’d met at his last art gallery opening had convinced him to meet him at a club. Said something about how an artist like him should have friends and a good night out. At first, Travis had said no. But they guy went on and on and Travis had no choice, but to say yes. But when he got there, the guy never showed, leaving Travis standing awkwardly as other people danced and drank.
After about an hour, Travis left, walking home in the dark. God, this night was a total waste. This was why he always chose to do art instead of socializing. People were so hard to understand, while his art was simple and easy. If he made it home soon, he might have time to finish one last painting before he got too tired.
Sighing, he decided to cut through an alleyway to save more time. Travis pulled his coat tighter around him, trying to block a cool breeze that passed through. He was almost to the end when he spotted what looked like a person, lying in the alley. Travis stopped to watch for a while, nervous to pass by him.
“Hey,” he called out softly. Maybe he should turn around and go another way home, but what if that person was hurt or something. Maybe he should call someone. “You okay?”
