Just thought of "First Life", the progress before Third Life came to place. (Mostly DocM77 lore to why he's half mech.)
Started as a test server to see how all the redstone would work, how the lives would get switched and the safe codes if they worked. How to get out if anyone were to get stuck and all possible means of work behind the curtains.
Doc, Iskall, Mumbo, Tango, and Cub, being the redstoners, while Grian is the mastermind behind the idea.
Doc had no trauma to arm or head. His face fully fleshed, his whole body being... well whole.
Until he tested out the different difficulties alone, working overtime to make the server better. With everyone being offline on the server, he had time to test for crashes and to test out the life system. He knew it was wrong, that he should at least talk to Grian about it, but being excited about a new project he was reckless.
And as he tested out explosions, from creepers to tnt, all while switcthing from easy to hard mode, he finally got to test out tnt minecarts.
But, after several respawns from the other explosions, the server glitched. Making the minecart duplicate.
He realised too late and exploded, his right arm in front of the left side of his face to protect himself.
Everything hurt, something broke. He was unable to respawn, the server was offline even though he was on, making him unable to respawn.
He had gone deaf, the ringing from the explosion was never ending and he was suddenly on his knees, his body weak. His right arm in smithereens, and half of his face was numb. He couldn't see anything either, other than the bright sunlight. He prayed to the great Goatmother for forgiveness. He prayed to his friends for getting on.
He was silent, even when he screamed out, he was quiet. Was he even screaming if no one heard? Were his cries not enough to make someone hear?
Maybe, the pain would subside.
He couldn't think straight, maybe an hour passed, maybe a month.
When help finally arrived and he felt his soul descend to respawn, he was left traumatized. It had been too long for his whole body to heal.
"Hey, Doc!- WHAT HAPPENED TO YOU?" Grian screamed when he had seen his friend who stood staring. Adjusting to his hearing.
"What?" He asked, his hand came to scratch his hair, but 1) He did NOT have a hand and 2) He realised that he could only see half of what he normally would see and the right side of his head was tilting due to the decrease in weight from his left side.
This time someone did hear his blood curling scream.
