Big brain
Hello, Im a working mom.
Can you guess what Im doing right now? Working. Till 12am. exhaling exhaustion. inhaling gratitude for oh, everything golden in my life, but mostly for the day’s end.
I’m a first time mom, and a new mom. My baby is 4 months new, and is a joy. I have so much on my plate: I work 2 jobs, employed and starting a business, plus I am married. exhale again.
What I would like to hear more often is the phrase thank you. No I am not entitled to it, but it always seems to transform my level of energy, and encourages me to keep going. Expressions of gratitude, more regularly please. For the little things. That is revitalizing water at the end of another long and brutal day.
Especially when cries and complaints outnumber gratitude, typically in a 5:1 ratio or more. Hearing the words ‘thank you’ are gifts.
I hope to feel and express my thankfulness more as well.
