x can get very scared of water since they're from the end but they've gotten better at handling it. they still don't like the beach that much. they go only to hang out with the other hermits but everyone makes sure to keep them (as well as anyone else who doesn't fancy getting wet)* safely away from any water

keralis, on the other hand, loves water a lot. he'll even do little rain dances with ren on occasion. so when sopping wet keralis comes over after getting dunked (and dunking people) into the water and just being an active menace, xisuma is, understandably, a little terrified of his friend. the hermits have started putting a "no hermit's land" (indicated by lines in the sand) in the sand to seperate them lol

this does mean they have to yell at each other sometimes since the lines are sometimes suspiciously far away..

*scar (cat-vex, more so the cat part), tango (blazeborne), doc (doesn't like the hassle of drying his mechanical stuff off). although tango and doc will still participate in going into the water sometimes if asked

Kinda adding on to my previous headcanon, everytime the hermits go to the beach, a ginormous hole must be dug. It's the law. They will dig for as long as they're at the beach, and then get buckets and fill the hole with water.

Xisuma discourages it, but that doesn't mean he doesn't help dig from time to time :)

Mixi did Xisuma’s lineart, and I colored him; I did Evil X’s lineart, and Mixi colored him. And I did the background and final touches! It was insanely fun to out together and I can’t describe in words how freaking happy I am with how it turned out!
