The blood on her hands || Open RP/drabble
Anger and Apathy
Always dreadful is the anger Always yearning Constant churning Hateful burning
But just as bad is My apathy An endless sea Drowning me
I think I'm dying It's killing me
Clone
Akaina had been working on this project for almost a year now. She never told her father what it was. He didn't need to know, she reasoned. She had reviewed the logs concerning her own creation and birth and made notes on how not to fuck it up this time around. And she didn't. It was hard work, but she had seemed to create another human being.
The redheaded teenager held her baby girl in her arms. It seemed she had messed up on one part; the little clone had blue hair instead of the bright red of her mother's. Her child seemed to be growing at the same rate she had as a child, and she had tried to make her even smarter.
She was a strong healthy baby, not the sickly child she herself had been when she was born. That made Akaina worry. Her own brothers had seemed strong when they were growing, but over half of them hadn't survived to be born. The rest died within the first few weeks....except for her. But her little girl was almost a month old now...she had hopes.
The little girl grabbed Akaina's long braid and tugged on it. The child giggled and Akaina smiled. She had yet to give her a name yet. A name would make her attached, which would make it worse for her whenif she died.
But she was almost a month now, in two days. She needed a name.
She thought hard, her lips lowering in a frown. She wanted something unique, special. She had been reading some things on mythology recently. There was a demon who supposedly had been the first human, Adam's, wife. She was too rebelious, so she was punished by God, who cast her out. Her name was Lilith.
She smiled again. That sounded good.Lilith.
"Lilith." she said to the baby in her arms. Lilith looked up and giggled happily. "Lilith." she murmured.
Perfect.
