Can you draw my oc Akaina? Based off fire goddess in moana if you wanna know. You can find reference on my blog. He’s a a bit of a hothead (ha!) and his lava hair is always sparking up a little bit! Please and thank you!
Of course! Here he is:
His lava hair was definitely my favourite part to draw!
Remember requests for character or OC draws are open!
Did the first one about 7 years ago, right one is the redraw.
Without the flowerd and stuff because it actually is a bit... messy? And I was lazy, okay, yes, I admit it.
This OC first was named Akane, when I was in my hard core anime phase, now he name is Akaina and she actually doesn’t look like this but I reworked the whole race that lived centuries priors to the events around Kalina, Joschua, Azalea and co and are the reason why Joschua looks the way he does. I am not sure about the dsign yet though, so I again was lazy and just stuck to this.
((my own two sentence drabble.)) She did all that she could to make him proud and love her. All he saw though, when he looked at her, was the monster he had created and the two she was designed to replace.
Akaina sat on the ground, picking at the grass. It was peaceful here, which was the only reason she had her helmet off. The wind picked up and blew her hair into her mouth. She sputted and spat out red hair. Well, almost peaceful.
Akaina wears a voice filter to sound like a guy when she's in armor, and the new rookie on the team kind of gets the wrong idea.....
~~~
Wash and Jessie were walking back from training. It had been hard on the whole team, but they had noticed a slight favoritism in their favor. The were discussing this when the rookie walked up.
"Hey!" Jessie said, being friendly. "How are you doing?"
"Wha-Oh, fine I guess." He seemed a little distracted.
"What's on your mind?" Jessie asked.
"Are you guys gay?" he blurted out.
The two stopped short.
"Whaaat?!?!?!" Jessie exclaimed.
"That's the worst assumption ever...of-"
"Of all time, we know." Jessie cut him off. "How the fuck did you come up with that idea?"
"Well you guys always hang on every word Kayne says, you get special treatment from him, and you guys are, more often then not, together. I was just wondering if you had some sort of gay threesome thing going on."
The rookie could feel the stares from underneath their helmets. Suddenly Jes just busts out laughing. After a second Wash joined him. Soon they were both on the floor, laughing their heads off. The rookie stood there, feeling miffed.
Kayne walked past. And stopped and backtracked to where they were. "What the fuck is going on here!"
I've figured how to pull my head canon and real canon together!
Uhhh....sort of.
Anyways! Background for my fanfics if anyone (who's read what little I've posted>.<) is interested! Its Allison/Leonard/Carolina stuff with the add in of my head canon character. It is what I think might have happened.
Well kind of.
If you don't like the add-in's, then ignore them or stop reading.
*sigh*
yeah. so....
Allison and Leonard met in high school. After a year or two of ridicule on Allison's part toward Leonard, she realized the reason why she kept on picking on him was because she liked him. A LOT. (he always had this huge crush on her of course) So when he finally told her he liked her and asked her out, they started dating. That year they going to graduate and Allison was going to go to boot camp after graduation, so, afraid of losing her, he proposed. She said yes and they got married the next month, after they graduated. After the summer Allison was sent to boot camp to become a marine.
After about four months they sent her back because they realized she was pregnant. They had a beautiful baby girl with her mother's red hair and green eyes. ((I staunchly believe that Allison had red hair, maybe she dyed it, and that Leonard's eyes were blue)) They named her Caroline. Allison said her nickname was 'Lina. After a while, like six months or so, Allison went to finish boot camp and become a marine. She dyed her hair blond to be less conspicuous, she didn't want people to judge/teased her because of her red hair. Allison was home on and off for the next eight or so years. When ever she left she told her daughter why she didn't say good bye. During that time, Leonard became a scientist, and Caroline was at the top of her class and studying martial arts.
Then one day Leonard came home from work to find his daughter sitting on the couch, staring at the flag folded in her lap and the medal that lay on it.
Leonard became very absentminded. He would forget to pick Caroline up from school more often then he would remember. He forget to buy food and could barely take care of himself, let alone his ten-year-old daughter. So Caroline was sent to live with her aunt, Allison's sister, who was named Aislinn. (Aislynn used to be a marine like her sister, but stopped after her first tour) He dove into his work and surfaced only for the necessary things like eating, when he actually remembered to do that. After his grief subsided somewhat, it took about four years, he tried to find his daughter again. He was too late. She had run away. Over the years she lost any hope of her father visiting her, and she couldn't take it anymore, so she ran away.
~splitting off to Carolina's trail, none of my head canon here.
It's not that Aislynn was bad at being a parent, she tried her hardest, but she had no experience and Caroline was getting more depressed by the day. First there was the depression, she almost committed suicide. That was about a year. Then there was the numbness, she stopped caring and let herself go. (not the same as depression) This was for about two years. Then came the anger. She went into rages that no one could control, not even herself even if she wanted to. Aislynn tried but Caroline stopped listening to her. They got into a horrible fight one day and Caroline ran off for what Aislynn assumed was another one of her walks that she took to cool down, but this time she didn't come back home.
She ran from place to place after that. She never stayed in one place for very long and she never used her real name. She somehow managed to get a degree, probably by taking that test that says you don't need to go back to school.
The one think she still had left from her mother was the medal that she received after she died. When she was nineteen, she decided to join the military too. She moved up in rank when they realized how good she was. She excelled at hand-to-hand combat. After a few years, she was recommended for a military project headed by one of their best scientists. She decided to try it and went in for the interview.
She saw her own surprise reflected in his face as she saw her father for the first time in about twelve years. They actually ended up with a civil conversation. He told her she would receive no special treatment if she joined.
Yes sir. You won't regret this.
No, I very much doubt that I will, Agent Carolina.
Carolina, huh? Not exactly original, but it'll do.
~now splitting to the director's side. addition of my character. Take it or leave it. I don't mind either.
After he realized his daughter wasn't coming back, he immersed himself with his work again. He worked a lot on AI theory and that sort of thing, but genetic mutations to humans also fascinated him. He often wondered if it was possible not just change DNA during childhood, but before birth, rewriting genetic makeup to make soldiers unmatched in any field of combat. So when the experiment was discussed later in a meeting he attended, he listened intently. He could tell from the conversation they would be willing to fund such a project, though none of them wanted to be responsible for the abomination of such a child. So he volunteered.
He decided to start out with a combination of his and Allison's DNA. Caroline had turned out well so it couldn't hurt. Then he started the real work. He tweaked it so the child would be faster and stronger than any normal soldier. It would be clever in battle, quick to react, and could hold multiple AI if implanted. The child would age at twice normal until it was nine years old and the equivalent of eighteen. Then the child would slow down the aging a lot, so the child would stay in its prime for longer. The child would also have odd sleeping patterns, once a month for three days straight. (could be useful) But one of the most dangerous things about the child was that it would get a powerful adrenaline rush when it sensed danger. The child would be able to fight and function even if injured while in this state. Leonard decided this was enough. Then he made nine more. Better safe than sorry and the more the better when it comes to observations.
He messed up on the last one. First off, it was going to be a girl. He had meant to only make boys. Second, she just didn't come out right; he could tell. He decided to let her try for life anyway. Why not. She probably wasn't going to survive anyway.
Almost a year later he realized he had seriously fucked up. The girl had seemed to be the weakest of her brothers, no surprise there, but what was strange was that they all started to die. Some had died before they were even born and the rest were too sick when they were actually born to survive more than a few weeks. The girl had seemed sicker than the rest the entire time, but somehow the little bitch was still alive. Great. Another headstrong female in my life. He decided to take a look at his newborn daughter.
She was small. A little too small. Somehow she still looked older than one month. Her hair was certainly growing at a fast rate. It was a reddish-orange color; Allison's had been darker but the child's hair was wavy like hers. Caroline's hair had been very straight. He assumed the child was going to be another carbon copy of Allison like Caroline, until she opened her eyes. They were the same startling blue as his. Uhhh....
Interesting.
Now he realized he had to name the child. He wanted to name her after Allison, but that would be awkward. He decided on Akaina. Akaina Allison Church. That sounded alright, he guessed. Akaina blinked at him like she understood that was her name now. That was odd.
She grew at the expected rate. But there was something off about her. She looked like she understood things. He figured out what was so odd about her when she was one. (the equivalent of two for her) She started speaking in sentences.
Her first sentence was "What's wrong, Father?". He nearly jumped out of his seat. He stared at her and she repeated the question. He told her he was just startled. She seemed satisfied and left.
She grew smarter and stronger each day. At three(six) he started training her in combat(not him personally, thank God). She actually exceeded the expectations. As the months went by, she learned to take out her opponents swift and mercilessly. But complications arose. She liked it too much. She liked the adrenaline of battle and the cries of pain her opponents gave. She even started to torture. He had to make her stop the training for a couple months. During those months he focused on her education. She seemed to enjoy this almost as much, as she excelled in her excitement of learning. She was one of the brightest people he had ever met and at this point she was only four(eight). But again there were complications.
One day she was late for class. She was never late for class. Leonard decided to go check on her to see if she was alright.
The first thing he noticed was the stench. The coppery smell of blood choked the air. Then he saw a trail of blood leading toward her room. When he opened the door of her room he saw blood everywhere all over the walls, the floor, heck the ceiling. And it covered the girl sitting on the bed in the room. She was staring at her hands, which were shaking(and obviously also covered in blood). She noticed he was in there and looked up at him with a distressed and horrified look on her face. Her irises for some reason were black. She opened her mouth to say something, but before she could she closed her eyes and shook her head as if trying to clear it and and when she opened them again her irises were white. A disturbing smile spread across her face(for those of you who read Murderer's Row think O'Malley). She started moving towards him and he stumbled back against the wall, fear settling in his stomach. A knife appeared in her hand from what appeared to be thin air. He pressed himself even further against the wall, trying to pass through it. She jumped on him and knocked him to the ground. Akaina held her arm across his throat and waved the knife in his face, sliding the flat of the blade along his cheek. She brought it back and made a cut in his arm. He passed out.
When he woke up, she was gone. There was a cut on him opposite the one she gave him, but no more so he theorised that after he passed out she got bored and moved on. He got up to look for her. After a while(surprisingly the trail of blood didn't help at all) he found her in the training room. She was wailing and trying to tear at her wrists with her teeth. He moved towards her, but he stopped when he heard the growls. She looked scary again. Then she shook her head and started wailing again. She screamed at someone/something to stop. She stopped and her head snapped back to him, her eyes white and that disturbing smile on her face. He heard her growl. Then she clenched her eyes shut and when she opened them the smile was gone, her eyes were black, and she gazed at him in horror. She was staring at the cuts on his arms. She started to back away, but he ran up to her, grabbed her, and held her close. She screamed at him to let her go, but he wouldn't. He didn't even let go when he heard the growl that meant she was that-that thing again. Eventually she collapsed into a sobbing mess in his arms. A song came to mind, one Allison used to sing to him and Caroline. He sang it to her until she fell asleep.
Just close your eyes, the sun is going down.
You'll be alright, no one can hurt you now.
Come morning light
You and I'll be safe and sound.
She woke up three days later, as usual. What wasn't normal was what happened when she was sleeping. She started screaming. He tried to stay with her but he had to leave her sometimes and when he did she only got worse. When she did wake up there were dark circles under her eyes and they were a midnight blue. He speculated that meant that she was sad.
"I was dreaming."
"What about?"
"You and Mom."
"How do you know about her. She died before you were born."
"I saw a picture on your desk. She looks kind of like me."
"What was the rest of your dream about."
"I-I-I k-killed you! And Mom!"
"No you didn't."
"Yes I did! You died and it was my fault."
"I'm still here. I'm alright."
"I still cut you! That wasn't a dream!"
"Look here....Akaina, look at me....Good....I'm still alive. It wasn't your fault. It was mine. Please calm down."
"B-b-but-"
"I'm not going to let you go."
Leonard kept a closer eye on her after that. He made sure she trained at least twice a week, though she didn't have the same enthusiasm. They didn't speak of the incident, but the nightmares continued. He whispered to her in her sleep, saying her would never let her go. And he didn't plan on it. He had already lost Allison and Caroline, he couldn't lose Akaina.
He wouldn't lose her.
I meant to finish this, God, over a week ago. Well, here it is.
