I have this problem with Allen but also with Roman Polanski, who basically should have been in prison but he made some good movies that I really liked after he run away from US so I don't know what to think - what he did was bad and he deserved to be in prison but I'm happy he isn't/wasn't because he made good movies :/

I think he actually directed one of his movies from behind the bars. Well, in this case I do believe that no matter what they could make, they should be hold accounted for what they did. With Roman Polanski the story is he ran away, so he actually would be put in prison if he didn't do it. But as I mentioned in the last point, quoting Marina: human beings are more important than art. (And here me being very questionable towards prison is also another story) Thank you for answering!

(On the other hand, I wonder how much of our culture we would lose if everyone would be imprisoned right after the crime.)
