A Weight On My Chest [Selphy and Hiro]
Selphy lay limply on the ground in the hallway, face down, a math textbook lying against her head and her papers all over the floor. Under her body, clutched tightly to herself, she had all four books of the Three Kingdoms series, somehow not even out of order even though they weighed about the same as a brick.
Why hadn't anyone come to pick her up? It was the middle of fourth period. Why was she there to begin with? That was a question not as easily answered.
