False Impressions [Selphy and Lyla]
It had been such a hard and terrible day so far, the alarm clock wasn’t working, her roommate left her shoes in the middle of the floor again, causing her to wake up in a rush and trip over them and hitting her shin. She was late for her first class and got stuck having to do another assignment. Today was just not a good day for her Lyla, all she wanted now was a strawberry cupcake and to be in the garden, the one place that she knew would make even the worse of days much better.
Just as she dropped her bag on her usual bench she couldn’t help but notice someone already there. It was rare to see other people in the garden especially a new face, at least to her. “Hello there” she said brightly as she picked up her bag not wanting to be rude to the new person.
Selphy was not well-known for noticing things, and the bag plopped down next to her was just one more thing not to notice. However, as she took the last bite out of her onigiri, she vaguely realized she was out of food, and reached out idly for another – ending up with her hand against the girl’s bag. She attempted to find an opening in it and then looked up, grumbling, when she couldn’t find it – only then realizing that not only was it not her bag, there was somebody else attached to it. She blinked at the girl, the silence broken only by the growling of her stomach. “Ah… you have any food?”
