Why do you always talk to that weird crow kid? He isn’t even technically your son.
Because. As much as I absolutely hate to admit it…
We’re very similar.

You’re a psych person
When do people stop needing hugs?
Like all my books say it’s really important for kids to experience physical reassurance and some even have like a goal for number of hugs a day but I went like a solid 12 years without a hug and most of the people I know don’t get them often either so and we’re all fine
Am I supposed to stop hugging them at some point? My dad stopped hugging me after mom died but I think he stopped too soon I think 16 is too young
Like when do we stop needing hugs?
Psychiatrist. I'm a psychiatrist, which means I'm an actual medical doctor. And not a fucking therapist for you to trauma dump on- but whatever.
Humans don't stop needing hugs. You won't die without it, but it can cause psychological issues. We have proof that hugs (and other affectionate touches) have us release the "feel good" hormones. Those are oxytocin, dopamine, and serotonin.
Like I've said before, no two brains are the exact same. Everyone will react differently to being touch deprived. From personal experience, a lack of any affection in my developmental years left me as a "people pleaser" in my teenage years and young adulthood. Now, it's most likely the reason I'm disgusted by touch. So...blah blah blah, hug your kids and they'll turn out like me!
Or they might anyway, some people are just predisposed to mental illness.
Where in the world did you get those boots, Spooky?? They look lovely! And I must say, they do incredible things to your silouette!

Oh uh.
They were a gift in college. Somehow I held onto them long enough for them to fit in my wardrobe again. I have no clue where he bought them, but they are quite nice.
And don’t call me “Spooky”. Only Harleen can use that ridiculous nickname.
How did your toxin come to be? You're no chemist.
I have a minor in chemistry, actually. And my father was a pharmaceutical chemist for most of my life.
He’s the one who came up with the idea for a “fear drug” though he never got the funding to make it. That hypothetical version was...very different from what I ended up making. But it’s what sparked the inspiration for me.
You would punt a baby human, not a baby animal though?
Depends on the animal, and the situation. I don't exactly feel empathy in the way average people do. If the harm was necessary, I would do it without feeling a thing.
Why do you want me to punt things? I don't often harm creatures for my own sadistic pleasure unless it's a fully grown human. Be realistic, they're much more entertaining than other animals
opinion on Jeremiah Arkham?
We went to college together. He’s..fine, I suppose. Didn’t make me want to tear my eardrums out when he rambled about his ideas about a better Gotham..didn’t laugh when I told him about my dreams for a fearless world..made me feel like someone understood what I wanted…
…
What was the question?
If it’s not too personal, what happened to your mother?
She died a painful and terrifying death.
is that a reasonable answer? now stop bothering me with this.
I know you have mommy issues, Jon
Look at you!
I know about her, she’d be- she’d be saddened, Jonny :(
- 💥🍬
You know nothing.
even think about speaking about her- or dare to put words in her mouth again, I will hunt you down and snap you in half.
no one has any right to speak of her, none of you know anything about her.
