What a privilege it was to hear his amazing PhD defense and presentation at Northwestern University in Evanston, IL last week when he received his PhD! Shown here with his lovely wife and our daughter, Christina Porter, who recently completed her PhD in Physics at the Joint Institute for Lab Astrophysics at the University of Colorado in Boulder, they are returning to Eindhoven in The Netherlands to begin the next chapter in their amazing lives.
