The music was blaring, and Sophie was having the time of her life. The last few places they had landed at had been hard--they were saving people, stopping bad guys, the whole nine yards. So far, this had just been fun. She had a few drinks in her, the music in the club was actually pretty decent, and she had an excellent dance partner.

“Vanessa Langley, but everyone calls me Nessa.” The redhead frowned and chewed on her lower lip at his words. “If you’ve looked at the news anytime in the past year you’ve probably seen my face.” After the attack on her and Lucas it had been a long time before they had faded from the news circuit. The recent trial only made things worse. “But it’s nice to meet you anyways.”
