Who here uses CANVAS at their school?
I love love love love love Google Classroom and think it’s a much better instructional tool, but our school is asking us to use Canvas more. :/
In google classroom, I love that I can make a template with all of my directions and expectations and post in to google classroom with a copy for each student to manipulate. It’s such a great feature. Is there something like this in Canvas?
I don’t want to make students use 8029324 different platforms, but I don’t think that I’m ready to give up Google Classroom.
I haven’t used Canvas for anything other than the gradebook... so if there are any other users here who use it for something more, please share with me how you use it and if you even like it :/
Other teachers at my school love it because of the speed grader (when you grade the submitted assignments it automatically puts it into the gradebook for you). I’ve been in the habit of grading hard copies of work and digital work in google classroom and recording grades into a paper gradebook. Then I enter them again into Canvas’s gradebook. That’s a lot of steps, but I don’t mind it and it works for me.
