UPDATE ON THE GRACE CONTROVERSY:
This is the last time I am going to update you all, but I wanted to just get this out. This place is for hcs, not updates.
(THIS IS ABOUT THE CONTROVERSY, I ENCOURAGE YOU TO READ AHEAD
Simon responded.
I admit, I jumped to conclusions too quickly. Most of the community did.
Simon didn't encourage the derogatory statements, nor does he support the notion. This all happened a long time ago (a couple years) and Fynnee isn't involved in Grace and therefore the game shouldn't be involved in the conversation. Fynnee is taking a break from the internet. From what I can gather, Simon was simply mistaken for the hateful speech being not harmful. He has learned, and does feel shame about not speaking up about it. He is actively trying to change, and he is apologizing for defending the derogatory comments. He was not manipulated, he was just trying to defend his spouse. He has learned his lesson.
I would take this response with a small grain of salt though, as it does seem like another defensive move. You can never truly trust the internet. I'm choosing to believe this statement however. This seems genuine, I'm glad that he is willing to change and grow as a person.
I wanted to address the community though. All of you on Tumblr have been decent, but the community on Twitter has taken this way too far. The rest of the developers have been harassed and even doxxed by the community for this, and that disgusts me even more. This controversy is only involving Fynnee, and not any of the Grace team. They have doxxed innocent people, and that is not acceptable. The game teaches to forgive those who have made mistakes, and love and respect innocent ones. Apparently, the games message must have flown over the heads of the doxxers.
If any of you people that harassed the developer team are reading this, I hope you realize the irresponsible and irredeemable impact that you have committed to this community. You have broken the trust between the developers and us. You have committed actions way beyond what any person should ever do, and honestly, you have disappointed me.
Please try and improve. I believe in you guys.

This is why I don't go on Twitter anymore...
