Church dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, the Star of the New Evangelization and Saint John Paul II, from Development series.
Built in 2012-2016 at the initiative of Father Tadeusz Rydzyk, redemptorist priest and head of Lux Veritatis – a media house associated with the Radio Maryja, Trwam Television and the Nasz Dziennik newspaper, and private university, Higher School of Social and Media Culture in Toruń. Father Rydzyk is widely recognised as one of the most important people in Poland, and most of the center and right-wing parties are seeking his favour. The whole group is openly operating on the political scene, and thanks to the mobilised group of faithful listeners gathered in the Radio Maryja Family - it is an important electorate, voting in accordance with the indications of Radio. Due to the location of most of Rydzyk's ventures in Toruń, the Catholic Church in Poland is widely considered as divided, emphasising the distinctiveness of the "Toruń faction" as a representative of the conservative, hard-line understanding of the Catholic faith, often with a xenophobic, anti-Semitic, negative and concentrated on critique of "West" and "gender ideology" dangers.
In the intention of the creators, the temple was created as a vote of gratitude for the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, and was financed by donations from the community centered around Father Rydzyk. The whole building is covered with a dome weighing about 320 tons with an additional crown. Stained glass windows depict scenes from the pontificate of Pope John Paul II, and one of them, with dimensions 4x4 m, depicts the pilgrimage of the Radio Maryja Family to John Paul II and contains a quote from the Pope's words - "I thank God every day that there is such a radio in Poland and that it is called Radio Maryja."

Never Sleep Again: The Elm Street Legacy (2010)
I’m glad I watched this documentary...but....
I have a confession.
Out of the major horror villains, Freddy is my least favorite. So, what movie did I watch for day 8? A documentary on the Nightmare movies!
This documentary is pretty great for a doc, it is set up very much like Crystal Lake Memories where it goes through the production, casting, and filming of each of the movies. I prefer ‘Friday The 13th’ much more as a series than ‘Nightmare On Elm Street’
That said, I really want to watch the Freddy TV series that came out between 3 and 4, I had no idea it existed and this is my takeaway, I’m sure it will be terrible.
I’ve only watched the first, third, and seventh film in the series. I kind of want to watch the sixth one.
The third film ‘Dream Warriors’ is by far my favorite, followed closely by ‘New Nightmare’ also the first one was great, but they just don’t stick with me like how ‘Halloween’ and even ‘Friday The 13th’ have.
Wes Craven, changed my life, he made me appreciate horror as a kid and I was grateful to watch a bunch of his films last year in honor of his passing.
