I do like the exchange cut they did in the show. Showing how Thrawn nearly immediately recognized the tactic Sato was employing. Plus the additional dialogue demonstrates just how Thrawn does study his enemies and their history. Since he is right, understanding your enemy comes not just from their battle tactics but their history, philosophy and art as it tells you alot about the kind of opponent you face.
