No one asked for it but, Anon of my last post got me thinking about it so Azula Daughter Hcs :)
Also I’m getting through requests very slowly but surely! I’m sorry to everyone who’s had to wait for a while- I promise I will get to them eventually though! A lot of the time my brain just itches to only write certain things so requests can be hard sometimes but they are fun and get me working my think muscles!

Honestly, one day Azula just popped by the Royal Palace again after a while of being gone and had a daughter with her. She was still a baby when Azula brought her around, and she’s grown up in the Palace her whole life.
When Azula showed up with her daughter, she still wasn’t mentally sound- So Zuko took it upon himself to make sure she didn’t majorly screw up this poor child.
Though his over cautiousness about it is doing more harm than good- at least on Azula’s end.
This has no negative impact on little Miss Fire Princess though, she’s a very happy child- though she doesn’t really understand why she sees her mom the least out of everyone. But she just kind of goes with it.
She has a journal that she’s had and been writing in since she could write. It was a birthday gift from Suki :)
Speaking of Suki, she’s still working as a guard with Ty Lee and the other Kyoshi Warriors at the royal palace and the kid loves her.
If Zuko is busy and Azula isn’t around, she’ll always seek company with Suki before anyone else. If Suki is busy, Aang or Sokka is her next choice if they’re around.
That journal I mentioned earlier? She uses it to write stuff down about the time she spends with Azula, when she brought it up with Zuko he asked to look at what she’d written down.
Safe to say he was pretty relieved to know that in their alone time Azula was doing a pretty okay job. But that doesn’t make him that much less concerned for his niece.
She calls Zuko ‘Uncle Zuzu’- picked it up after hearing Azula call him Zuzu.
No one really knows who her dad is, if Azula knows she hasn’t told anyone and probably never will.
Azula is putting in an effort to get better because of her daughter, but in the process her old self slips sometimes.
The first time this happened was not good.
She’s not a bender, and Azula may have let a little ‘Pathetic’ slip out upon finding out. Big yikes.
It was enough to push her daughter to tears, and started a life long self consciousness about herself for not being a bender.
Zuko miserably failed at trying to make her feel better about it after she ran off crying.
This was when she had her first “You don’t understand!” moment.
Knowing that he in fact didn’t understand, Zuko asked Suki and Sokka to talk to her about it.
They made her feel better, assuring her she doesn’t have to be a bender to be strong. It helped- sort of.
Again this caused her to have a nearly life long insecurity about this.
Well maybe not life long, but, she doesn’t get over it for a while okay.
She didn’t talk to Azula for a bit after that happened though. Probably a few weeks because she is a child and a bit dramatic.
Not that her being upset over that is dramatic, she was done being mad after maybe a week but didn’t talk to Azula for a couple more because of dramatics.
She was just trying to her her mom like she hurt her.
And it worked.
I feel like this is getting a little long, so I’ll leave it here but if you guys are interested in more lmk! Also if you interested in child hc’s for other characters, lmk too. I really liked doing this one and would totally love to do kid hc’s for other characters if you guys wanted :)
