One time my Nanna started having a nag at me. (even though I had done nothing wrong, but honestly with her you just need to be in the same room) Saying how I disrespect the house and it's not even my home.

And I'm like.

"No I live here, this is my home by definition." 

And she was like "Well you don't pay the mortgage" 

and I was like "Jack doesn't either and I'm pretty sure this is his home too."

Like I understand this isn't my house. But it is my home.

Like if I lived with her, then this wouldn't be my home.

A house and a home aren't the same thing.
