At one time, the earth had ten suns around it, and all the suns took turns to brighten up the Earth! However, one day, all the suns shone all at once, making the Earth so hot, it was scorching!!!
Soon the Earth was saved by a strong however tyrannical archer named Hou Yi! Using his arrows, he shot down nine suns and left one to shine forever. Seeing how powerful he was, Hou Yi started his plans on shooting down the moon.
One day, Hou Yi stole an Elixir of Life from a goddess and hid it, however, upon seeing this elixir, Hou Yi’s wife, Chang Er, drank this elixir and found herself floating to the moon. Since Hou Yi loved his wife so much, Hou Yi never shot down the moon. <3!
