new val oc idea dropped while I was in the shower

danish, kid of two really well known scientists that she isn't in contact with or affiliated with bc they're probably radianite-obsessed. she herself is a bionic engineer.

personality-wise, very reclusive, paranoid, skittish, and finicky.

all i have for her appearance is a very tired look, in her 20s though, short-medium blond hair that's middle parted and curves inwards going towards the bottom, and possibly an advanced prosthetic leg or arm lost at some point in her life but I'm not sure yet.

idk if she'd really be a field agent but I'm thinking of some ideas and my brain is overing some cold/ice themed stuff but we'll see

I do not understand cancel culture and people canceling Vince and nolpat for TWEETS!!!???!?!? When they were 14/15/16. People are looking for excuses to me upset honestly. How about for their recent actions that have proven to be questionable?

As a bipoc lgbtq woman in academia, this is so frustrating to me. There are real issues in the world perpetrated by systemic and institutional inequities. This is not an example of that. This is literally social media cancel culture.

Cancel culture in itself is a disease but people trying to excuse it by defending it as “holding someone accountable” is so bizarre. How are you gonna hold someone accountable for something they are likely unaware they did as teenagers in a society that enable and encouraged the use of that rhetoric in the first place?

Had those tweets been somewhat current, it’d be an entirely different situation. If they should be cancelled for anything, it should be recent events like Vince singing the n word in a stream and Nolan liking Brett hull’s misogynist comment about the leipsic situation. THOSE are examples of questionable morals and something we should be weary of as fans of them. Not tweets from nearly a decade ago. I can’t even begin to understand the thought process behind that. I mean, honestly how do you rationalize that? How do you defend men and players who have demonstrated current questionable morals and then cancel them for the past?

first of all, nobody is canceling nobody, read my post again. what recent actions are you talking about?? if I knew about them I would make sure to mention them as well. and what is hockey if not part of society?!?! yes, this is a fair example of that, now what? bipoc simply leave sports because this isn’t a safe space for us, therefore, we’re the ones who should move??? shouldn’t we address issues trailing sports anymore just because worse systemic problems are going around??? I’m sorry to break to you but we can do both, we can address small problems going around hockey culture and we can fight racism, homophobia, and other issues at the same time. 

omg, if they speak about issues nowadays, that would definitely be canceling, but considering their silence this isn’t about canceling, this is about making sure this person really changed, that now they understand the problem behind their past behaviors and is going to work towards that, otherwise this league will keep being a violent space for bipoc. 

See, you know how I know you didn’t read my post?? You mention Vince’s video as if I didn’t mention it (which I did in my post). I had no idea about his old tweets and I have no idea about his recent likes because again: I don’t use Twitter. If people told me before I would sure speak about it as soon as I saw, but I had no idea, so thank you for bringing another problem to be discussed at our table.
