WIP of Caesar’s room . The travel vents are so cute to me ☺️
Caesar Whump headconons
(I have a bitch of a toothache, so I projected that pain onto my babygirl)
After coming to live with the Vinsmokes after forming Neo Mads, he realizes how good he had it at Punk Hazard—unlimited funding, devoted followers who bent over backwards for him, and an amazing partner in Doflamingo. Essentially, he was a spoiled and pampered princess. Now, he's surrounded by mindless clones that only follow Judge and pay him no mind. Everything he had his henchman do he now has to do himself and he hates it.
He was among the first almost human clones created by child prodigy vegapunk (with some sheep mixed in to make cloning easier) and prided himself on being the most advanced clone. Until they cloned Stussy, the first Perfect human clone, he was insanely jealous and felt extremely hurt when Vegapunk called her “A success after much trial and error.”
He is instinctively frightened of wolves. Despite this fear, he created a bioweapon that killed the wolves on Karakuri Island that were frightening him and the other clones. However, this only succeeded in making the other clones fear him instead of the wolves.
I wrote a fic about this but he was essentially shunned by the other clones for being a literal black sheep. He was also more intelligent and more human, so they felt jealous. Merry was nice to him, though, but being distrustful, Caesar pushed him away.
Vegapunk was pretty much a terrible ‘parent’. Don't get me wrong, he LOVED his little creations to bits, but having made them at age 8-10 (child prodigy), he wasn't equipped to be a good parent, and neither were most of his researchers. Despite doing required parental things like bottle feeding them and tucking them in, he never took their feelings (or Caesar's) into consideration. He also unintentionally taught Caesar all the wrong things about being a scientist (like morality vs progress or whatnot).
Caesar spent his entire life trying to get out of Vegapunk’s shadow. Everything he did wasn't amazing because he was him, but because he was VP’s creation.
Despite everything, he still has an attachment to Stella, enough to see him as a rival, which is why he was in tears when (you know) happened.
Stella does love Caesar and having him apprehended broke his heart, but part of him feels Caesar squanders his potential, but would never say it. However, let's say Lilith, the ‘Evil’ part of Vegapunk (who let's be real is just very opinionated) got to Caesar before Stella could stop her, she’d let him have it. The confrontation would consist of her laying into Caesar about thinking his gigantification research is a lost cause and just a way for him to make money. Stella taught him that science was about making the impossible possible and that he had no right to call himself a scientist. Also, he experimented on kids, but being chewed out for that doesn't affect him at all; the other stuff does. Quite a lot. Because he knows she’s right.
A bit of a funny one. Remember that scene in DBZ Abridged where Bulma flirts with Trunks, not knowing he’s her son. Something similar happens when Caesar meets York or Lilith for the first time. I’d imagine he’d want to sink into the floor when he finds out who they are.
His pride and arrogance make him lose the people close to him. He, Judge and Cian stopped talking due to their collective BS. His lack of foresight caused him to accidentally kill Monet, his deal with Law got Doffy thrown in jail, and his relationship with Stella is strained to say the least. He pushes everyone away, but sometimes…sometimes those people come back. He knows their crazy to come back.
He misses HIS Joker so, SO much, . Doffy gave him all the love and appreciation he didn't deserve and not having it kills him. His private life has been a cycle of crying and masturbating.
He and Judge currently have a consensual transactional sexual relationship. Caesar is more than happy to get down to pay rent, but HATES it that Judge doesn't stay and cuddle. He just taps that and leaves.
Judge changed so much since they were seventeen, while Caesar hasn't changed at all and struggles to reconnect with Judge on an emotional level. He has almost no one to talk to beyond business and feels incredibly lonely.
Sheep are herd animals, so he always needs a herd around him. It doesn't matter if they are mindless simps whom he can easily discard. He is a social animal and needs someone to talk to, even if he is just yammering on about his own brilliance.
The drastic change between Caesar being a scary villain to being woobified was his mask coming off, and post-PH Caesar was his true self. For the longest time, his true self, the constantly blubbering, cowardly, and goofy creature, was something he only showed to those he felt safe with. Now, it seems like everyone knows what he’s really like, and the noble and respectable persona he built for himself came crumbling down.
“STOP! He’s already dead!” Nope, there’s more.
Canonically, Egghead took place on April 8-12, so it's very possible he saw Vegapunk’s broadcast on his birthday. Please, Oda, that would be so fucking funny.
He secretly thinks Judge’s kids are so cool, but they constantly make fun of him. They bully that poor old man. He has a special attachment to Raiju, since he created a blueprint for her poison abilities and Judge “Borrowed it” (I’m also thinking he might have used some of Caesar’s DNA via lineage factor to create Raiju’s abilities, since Caesar can also absorb toxins), so he sees her like he sees Smiley. I’m going to throw him a bone. Even though Raiju wants to hate him since he experimented on kids and she was an experimented on child, she pretty much has no one to hang out with except her shit family, so she accepts him as her sassy bi friend.
This has to be one of the most adorable caesars I’ve ever drawn, looking up like he could never give crack to kids. Meanwhile bald Doffy is here looking like Judge Holden.
when you love bae but he kinda ugly though
