*The mansion looks better than he remembered; things are bit cleaned up, a bit neater, and it brings him some small form of relief.  Perhaps she is returning to her old self now.

Even though he knows he should go, he doesn't, stealing across the grounds and to where he knows her room is.  The light is on, her nightside table if he's not mistaken, and she's reading.  She looks better.  Far better.  Again, he battles pack a pang of nostalgia, desire.  This isn't his life, nor is it hers, and they're better apart.  Still, reaches, almost touching the glass.  He misses her... and she looks so much better, healthier and fuller and just... 

He frowns, looking a bit closer.  Fuller, yes, but the way the blankets are bunching at her middle... The options were there, but the last time they had looked so... oh god Erik, what have you done*
