So I'm doing inktober this year, and there's a bunch of witch prompts you can do. Here's my urban witch for day 2 (I'm adding a familiar with each one too so i can practice my animals). I'm kinda liking how this one turned out. o3o

A familiar is an animal or spirit that assists witches and cunning folk in their practice of magic. Familiars possess magic and commune with the spirits, some have the ability to shapeshift.

Familiar problems:Cleansing

Cleaninsing varies from familiar to familiar, for some it's easy and for some it's exhausting. Although your familiar may dislike cleasing ceremonies they need it in order to be in tip top shape! My best advice is try to work around your familiar, make them as comfortable as possible, if they still hate it then you will need to be a bit more forceful but most importantly always remember to chant a soothing spell or song to help them realize this is not a punishment, also always give them a treat afterwards. Cleansing rituals can be exhausting for them so treats will help them perk right back up.

My familiar absolutely hates any form of cleansing and will retaliate any way she can, however she is fully aware that a treat comes after any cleaning ritual and perks right back up once she knows the ritual has been done. I just wish she made this ritual easy.
