MEET RED, THE PUPPY I JUST GOT APPROVED FOR! We’re still hammering out the logistics of getting him to Seattle from Houston, but we’re approved! He’s apparently the snuggliest lil puff you’ve ever seen. The lady I talked to at the rescue says he’ll grow up to probably be around 40 pounds! BE JEALOUS

WE GOT THE CORGI You guys, there is a corgi in our house and she freakin' lives here!! This is honestly a surprise. I didn't think it would be this easy. I thought we'd have to wait for other potential adopters, get a home visit, have the rescue check references, and so on. But the rescue saw us as a good match, and now we have a corgi. Today will be all about getting her settled: New tags, harness, bed...and a new dog door, because she's too fat to fit through the current one. Also: I hope the dogs feel like napping. I stayed up last night, thinking I'd be sleeping instead of going to the pet store and installing a dog door.
I FINALLY found a puppy at a shelter that fucking mom approves of. She did not veto this dog. I’m going to inquire about him after work. I wish we could adopt him and his brother, but mom said no to that. Mom wanted a small medium dog, but this is a mix, and both breeds are 60+ pounds, so ha! I win this round and she has no fucking idea!
So the little black and white pupper I applied for was adopted elsewhere, so this is the NEXT dog I’m going to inquire about. She’s sweet, loving, and has the cutest, roundest lil tum.
Today on Peppy searches for a dog, look what I found! He’s a Australian Shepherd & Border Collie mix and is too fucking cute. It’d be a 2 hour drive to pick him up if we got him, but well worth it because LOOK HOW FUCKING CUTE HE IS.
Just applied for this dog since I didn’t hear from the other place, and mom wants a dog soon so she can have an excuse to rehome my cats. This dog was left to die chained up in a factory, and was too weak to even stand when the rescue found her. So if I do get her, I’m going to be so happy to be able to give her a loving home.
