Roger has had experience with dogs at the tender age of 5 and has trained many types of dogs in both group and private settings. His personal belief when it comes to dogs is “a trained dog is a happy dog”.
Because of his love for dogs, Roger became a volunteer for non-profit dog organizations, Roger also conducts training sessions for the other volunteers and their shelter dogs as statistics have shown that human interaction and exercise help reduce stress levels and contribute to the shelter dogs overall wellbeing.
His belief in using positive dog training services methods further enhanced when he started training under Master Trainer Dexter Sim WMA, Certified Agility Instructor.
His dog has appeared on stage at the PETAS Pet Show in 2015

Agility Training Classes for Dog and Puppy Owners
My agility training classes run in ten week blocks and you are required to attend at least once a week for the duration of the course. You still pay if you miss a class. You will not progress with occasional attendance.
My Classes for Dog Owners will teach you:
How to walk your dog on a slack lead
How to teach your dog to want to come back to you.
How to deal with nuisance dogs off lead.
How to avoid trouble in a park environment and look after you and your dog.
How to socialise your dog or puppy in a calm and relaxed manner so when you walk away from the other dog, your dog chooses to come with you.
All breeds, and mixed breeds of dog are welcome.
Costs:
Each hour long class costs £14.00 for one dog and £19.00 for two or more dogs. There is no additional charge for more than two dogs. You can pay as you go or pay for a block of ten classes.
Health and Safety:
Please do not get your dog out of your car until requested to do so
If your dog gets very stressed around other dogs, I will ask you to provide and use a muzzle for your dog.
You must follow all instructions correctly and carefully.
I am fully insured.
Progression:
Upon completion of the first course, subsequent courses are available for you to continue and advance your training in the class environment, until you have reached a satisfactory level of control with your dog. 2 weeks notice is required for the termination of your attendance following the completion of your first ten week block.

Home Visits For Dog Owners
You are probably wondering why I insist on a home visit before you can come to my classes. No one else does, other people do home visits but they tend to be one off visits that are supposed to change everything but they don't. We all learn through practice and repetition and this is especially Important when we are learning a new set of behaviors and learning to control our instincts and our choice of behavior. Whether you are getting a new puppy or a rescue dog, you will spend most of your time with your dog at home. A new puppy needs to learn everything with you and a rescue dog already has ideas about how people behave so he will come into your house with his own plan to train you with his behavior. It does not matter if your new dog is a puppy or a rescue, within the first two days of living with you, your new dog has learned how you behave and what you give attention for.
People are creatures of habit and routine, both in life and in our behaviors and reactions and these make us very easy to get to know and then predict. This is why our new dog finds it so easy to understand us and then manipulate us into giving attention, usually to the behaviors we don't want. As this happens in the first two days and it may be weeks before you consider any training, by the time you get to training your dog already knows how you behave. How can one hour a week in a training class begin to change your dogs behavior if nothing changes at home? If you still over excite your dog with play and still greet your dog like you haven't seen him for days when you come home how can I change your behavior in a training class?
Good behavior is taught all the time just like we do with our children. With our dogs the principles are the same but the communication has to be different as our dogs do not understand our language. They make very good associations that can appear to show understanding but in reality they are just very very good at spotting patterns and delivering the best reaction that will get attention. When your interaction is correct at home, your dog will be able to deliver the same calm behavior wherever you go and that will give you a dog to be proud of because I have trained you to be an owner your dog can be proud of.
