My pledge to drink less caffeine goes out the door when someone offers to stop at Starbucks. I mean...come on. There's only so strong you can be in the face of a good soy misto (conversation over the phone: Coworker--wtf is a misto? That's not a thing. Mallory--it's Starbucks language. Just say it, they'll know).
So in the spirit of having some good ole fashioned caffeine, here are some things I might mention:
1. BOOTS. I am wearing my new boots for the first time and they. are. faaaaab. And terrible for my arches so I'm sitting a lot today. But yay fall!
2. On the subject of fall. It's here. Officially, even. And my run this morning was five kinds of amazing which makes up for my stupid hungover run from Saturday. I'm not even going to post that run (it was 10 miles) because...it was gross. Fun fact, happy hour beers are not great fuel for a run.
3. I have a compulsive need to overschedule my life. I am leaving for Delaware on Friday to run the Dogfish Dash on Sunday. But naturally, I volunteered to work the opening sale at the ski store Thursday and Friday evenings, 6-9pm. I am going to be broke from moving so this is good money wise. Bad for breathing time. But who needs to clean or eat? Not this girl!
4. Moving! November 1! Still happening! Aaaaaah!
5. I'm doing the 10k for the Dogfish Dash because, who wants to drive all the way there for a 5k? Silly. So now of course I'm thinking about time and pace and all that. I've only ever run the Marine Corps 10k and that's so bottlenecked and crowded that I'm super slow. Ideally, I would love to hit 46 minutes. Probably looking more at 48 though. But anywhere between the two would be good by me!
6. Realized I have navy running shoes and turquoise shwings (gave my others away at the Odyssey). Unacceptable. And I need them for this weekend, obvio so the only ones on Amazon with Prime shipping were these:
