I guess it's just nice to cuddle a random dog sometimes ❤❤❤ Especially for those who can't have dogs but want to so so baaad ;-; I'm really shy, so I don't do it, but I wish I could just.. Say hi to those little bundles of joy 😄😍💕

Of course you can cuddle doggies that you see❤ 

Just make sure to ask the owner before you do :) With my previous dog people usually didn’t ask because he was mostly black and pretty big but whenever someone asked I usually said yes except it was a child because… my dog was a bit uh… lets say he wasn’t always careful so I didn’t feel good about kids touching him

With Teddy it’s because he’s a rescued street dog and therefore very, very careful. We can touch him without problem now but that took weeks so people out on the street won’t be able to because he’ll get scared and bite.

I do get asked if people can touch him quite a lot because he’s small and cute and I usually say that you can try carefully but if he doesn’t want you should back off. Only if he’s relaxed though, when he’s nervous it’s better not to touch him at all.

For those who don’t own dogs (and maybe also those who do) please always ask before touching a dog. A friend of mine has a chihuahua that people sometimes pick up randomly without saying anything and that’s just not okay :( 

There might be dogs that are aggressive or don’t like to be touched in a certain way. Some people also don’t want younger puppies to be touched by people or dogs who are insecure so please make sure to ask. 9 people out of 10 will smile and tell you to go ahead, trust me. I have walked up to a bunch of people and asked if I could pet their dogs and if they say you can’t it usually has a reason so don’t feel bad :) It’s better to ask that to risk getting hurt or hurting the dog

Also, just a little tipp: Don’t always go for the top of a dog’s head. Most don’t mind but there are some (like Teddy) who will bite or get scared when they can’t see where your hand is going. I usually let a dog sniff my hand first and then go for the chest or shoulder. Not too close to the mouth but also not somewhere where they can’t see what’s going on or feel threatened. Making yourself smaller also helps. Don’t bend down if it’s a smaller dog but crouch down so you’re on eye-level rather than leaning over them. Just make sure the dog won’t be able to run you over or jump on you x,D

Like I said, please feel free to pet and cuddle all the dogs out there but make sure to ask beforehand ❤

I wasn’t trying to tell you off for petting dogs, just when people ignore you and only talk to your dog without saying anything towards the owner because that usually very awkward…

And maybe you’ll gather enough courage to ask to pet some dogs at some point ❤ It can be scary but I’m sure you can do it❤❤❤
