DOGS ON ACID - FLUSHED
Top 10 Albums of 2015
All Dogs- Kicking Every Day (Salinas)- Maryn Jones had a really good year imho Cloakroom- Further Out (Run for Cover)- Member of Grown Ups makes cool shoegaze-y stuff. Dogs on Acid- Dogs on Acid (Jade Tree)- Members of Algernon Cadwallader and Glocca Morra make cool indie-rock stuff. Hop Along- Painted Shut (Saddle Creek)- I underestimated this artist until this year and was kinda blown away. Laura Stevenson- Cocksure (Don Giovanni)- Amazing artist deviating a bit from her previous folky stuff but coming out with an album that I wish I had written. Saintseneca- Such Things (Anti-)- I’ve been obsessed with every Saintseneca release since I heard God’s Bones on an Indie-Rock Playlist in 2008. Really cool to see how their songwriting and recording production has evolved over the years. The Story So Far- The Story So Far (Pure Noise)- By far the best band making this genre of music. Sufjan Stevens- Carrie and Lowell (Asthmatic Kitty)- I can get behind this Sufjan album. Waxahatchee- Ivy Tripp (Wichita)- Really stoked by how many great albums were written by female songwriters this year. Westkust- Last Forever (Run for Cover)- Members of Makthaverskan making really cool music out of Sweden. Honourable Mention: Sheer Mag- II (7”)- This band shreds hard. Excited to see if they come out with a full length in 2016. Radiator Hospital- Torch Song (2014)- This came out in September, 2014 but I didn’t listen to it until this year and I kinda got obsessed.
We've been quiet on the show front lately, and we will be quiet for the early part of 2016, while we write this album and do life things. So catch us a couple times before the year comes to a close. 12/9 @ Snug Harbor w/ Three Man Cannon, Faye 12/13 @ The Station w/ Dogs on Acid, Year of Glad
