As a follow up to the ink blobs experiment, I also played around with some different pens (these are ultra fine gel pens) and more watercolor ink coloring. Unfortunately the inks run with the pens I used but otherwise I really enjoyed doodling these silly, minimalist cats with the pens. the pens are really scratchy so they lend themselves well to more graphical or blocky forms so I was playing around with that a bit. I actually don't mind the bleeding on some of them, it works okay.

some of these i did make into prints for patrons, might offer some in the store eventually (links will be in pinned post when i get my act together). my favorite in this sheet is the bob tailed cat probably, i just like how its expression turned out.

It's getting chilly as winter approaches which means my cat wants to be under the covers with me. I'm toasty warm and let her in, only for her to press her freezing cold toe beans DIRECTLY against my bare stomach.

I am now a toe bean heater, everyone.
