Today a little reminder of where we've come from. We started out by rescuing owls and running a stall to raise money for them. We're made the decision to stop rescuing after 6 years as we need a break as a family to get ourselves in a better place. Rescue work is very rewarding but also extremely heartbreaking and it got to the point where it became more heartbreaking than rewarding. For ther foreseeable future we won't take in any new rescues but Holly (pictured) and her friends will stay with us for life. Our profit still goes towards supporting them but is also our livelihood. We've decided it's also time for holly to retire so no more owls with us ay events but we'll still be bringing our dogs.
