“Good friends don’t let you do stupid things... alone.” (Lisa Forrestal) - Laughter, insanity, and stupidity are to expected when surrounded by close friends who understand the definition to #CrazyFun which is certainly the case with Honda Hanako, Orivia/Olivia, and Nomura Kasumi, a trio of 14-Year old, second-year students at an All-Girl Middle School 🏫 who are the BEST and the INSANEST of friends. 👧🏻🧒🏻👩🏼 Together, the trio form a club known as “the Pastimers Club”, which itself is ambiguous in nature and consists of whatever so-called “pastimes” these #Friendos come up with to kill time in Kishi Seiji & Kakihara Yūko’s Anime adaptation of Suzukawa Rin’s Surreal-Comedy/Gag Manga of the same name, “Asobi Asobase” (2018). 🖤💙💛 It’s truly AMAZING how outlandish, amusingly stupid, and totally insane people can be as individuals, but when they’ve found friends who are ALL of that, and MORE, then it either means they’re the most fortunate of souls, or quite the contrary. Luckily for Honda-san, Olivia-san, and Kasumi-san, they were simply MADE for one another, which was indeed a GREAT thing because man was Suzukawa Rin’s #AsobiAsobase a TON OF FUN to watch!!! 😃 God bless Kino Hina, Nagae Rika, and Kohara Konomi for bringing to life their characters, as well as being both incredible and hysterical in their respective roles! No matter if the trio overreacts, make hilarious FACIAL EXPRESSIONS (there’s PLENTY of that!!!) which are gorgeously and brilliantly animated, make rash and stupid decisions (Hmm... kids! Haha), or deliver Mandrake-like screeches, these three ladies were so friggin’ GREAT, they absolutely were! The gag comedy and crazed-humor the series presented was very good, but it was the trio’s energy, charismas, overreactions, facial expressions, personalities, and on-screen chemistry as #Besties that made #AsobiAsobase so much better, and once again, a TON OF FUN to watch! Believe it!!! 😁👊🏻 Having good friends is great and all, but having insane friends who do stupid things, that’s paradise!
