Fifteen Pieces of Happiness
A super-cute thing that the sweetheart, empress-du-lion, tagged me with~ c:
The rules are simple: list 15 things that make you happy, then tag whomever you want to spread the happiness to~
1) Dragon Age. I find this game franchise to be such a great thing in my life. Not only does it help spark alot of my creativity and inspiration, but it's been with me since Origins. The franchise was well-worth the 6 different Origins disks I went through, and the first-week release purchases~
2) Drawing. As someone who wants to go into art/design as a career, I managed to find a creative output with art in my life. I've been through my share of hardships, so being able to keep myself sane with drawing was the best thing to happen to me.
3) Acting. I used to be a theatre kid in my high-school times, and I even planned on going to college as a theatre major (acting emphasis). Despite not following through with it, being apart of theatre as an actor has influenced my life so much. It's brought alot of memories back, and it's helped me with my art and writing as well.
4) Writing. I don't do this as much as I hope, but writing has been one of my first creative outlets. Of course, way back when, I wrote dumb fanfiction that I regret ever writing. But even so, writing has been a fun outlet for me, and has helped inspired my art because of it.
5) Role-Playing. It seems kind of silly, but I like the idea of role-playing because it allows for you to create fantastic characters as well as collaborate with others to form a story that sticks with you for a long time. I remember my first gateway to socializing on the internet was through role-playing, and I let alot of great people because of it.
6) Video Editing. I've been editing GMVs and AMVs for almost eight years now. And even if I don't do it as much as I hope anymore, it's still super-fun for me. Because of it, too, I've met alot of fantastic people, even helping to open a studio that's become quite popular in the GMV community. It makes me happy to be into video editing, just for the sake of meeting all these great people.
7) Music. Just the fact that I’m able to listen to music just makes life all the better. Even if it’s nothing in particular or meaningful, the chance to just jam out and dance around just makes things all the more entertaining. That, and as with most things, music is a great way to gain inspiration for things.
8) Late-Night Drives. There's something about driving late at night that's really soothing. Nobody else is out on the roads, you're just cruising through town with the lights from signs illuminating the way. It's a really beautiful sight to see, and I really enjoy being able to get out late at night and relax in the view.
9) Hot, Sunny Days. So it's kind of strange for an indoor person like me, but I really enjoy it when the day is bright and the weather is warm-to-scalding-hot. I get really depressed and anxious when it's gloomy and cold, so the fact that I'm able to at least stare out at the sun is a satisfying enough feeling for me that won't leave me depressed for the week.
10) Juice/Kool-Aid. It's a terrible thing for me to say, but I hate drinking water. At least, when it's just plain water. I like sweet beverages, so the fac that I can saturate my Kool-Aid with sugar makes it all the better, and juice is typically sweet, so~
11) Talking/Ranting About My Stories & Characters. I want to go into a profession that allows me to make a video game. Whether or not I'm helping bring a character to life, or I'm helping to write something for the story, just being able to share my stories, characters, and ideas is fun for me. I could rant for hours, for example, about my Dragon Age fan-series, Away and Awayward, or my original RP story, PHANTOM.
12) Puns. I'm a fiend for puns. Just ask anyone who knows me, I tend to make puns at random moments, usually at the worst times as well. (Sorry, May, for all of the times where I made terrible jokes about Dramatical Murder stuff and what not! They were worth the tears though!)
13) Pawn Shopping. As a broke student and a video gamer, it's hard to find a good balance between having money for food and having money for a video game. With pawn shops, I can at least go in and find the occasionally new game and get it for a really decent price as a result. It also helps that I'm an adorable Asian girl who knows exactly what games she wants in that very moment.
14) Hanging Out With People. Whether or not it's with my friends or my family, it's nice to be able to spend time with those I'm close to. Even though they sometimes drive me insane, I like being able to interact with people, at least. It's kind of lonely to be cooped up all day, after all, so being able to escape for awhile with a great people makes things fun.
15) The Little Things. I think the most important thing that I find happiness in is the fact that the little things are what makes life so awesome. Big things that happen can bring you down, but a series of little things are usually what brings you out of the rut. Maybe it's getting a new game, laughing with friends, or hearing a funny joke during the day, things like that are what keeps me going in life, and I love them all~
