Well, now you have to open it EVERY night, because that's where she sleeps.

Sometimes I do just open it and leave it open for a few days. Usually they’re less enthusiastic because I don’t have the sleeping pad and the sheet on it. (The 2″ foam sleeping pad is the best way to keep sheets on it, but usually it lives on my bed because I like luxury.)

I have a guest in town -- a friend’s brother (who is a nice acquaintance but we don’t know each other SUPER well) had an AirBNB fall through the day before he was scheduled to arrive for work, because it’s Labor Day weekend, so I said he could crash here for a few days.

It’s a standard sized sink, actually kind of on the smallish side -- she’s still very smol :D I sometimes forget they’re not even six months old yet.

Well, I’m going to put them in tupperware in my checked luggage. They ought to be fine. And if they get confiscated, tupperware is cheap.

As a Plant Expert(TM), the above is correct. If you try to root them in water, they might rot. Stick them in some well-draining soil, water occasionally, and provide with copious sunlight and they will be fine. As a person who has encountered entirely too many cactus in the wild: BUT WHYYYYY

Ah thank you, and thanks to everyone who offered advice! 

As for WHY: Much like the Tony Stark of the Lovelace-verse, I prefer to nurture things capable of maiming me. It makes life more exciting. (It already lacerated my thumb, requiring a few nights of epsom salt soaks and some very fine-nosed tweezers.)

Okay. New plan is wait till Friday. Go to Frys and play with tablets and see if any of those work out for me and if not then stay with kindle fire.  If one does and is CHEAPER, get tablet.  Yes. Adult decision tree things or something?
