    there’s a certain ADMIRATION towards the dragon that tanimura feels deeply , despite their limited interactions .  felt it since kiryu took both him & akiyama with greater ease than anyone should posses .  & since then , that admiration has only been growing .  he’d like to tell him , though hasn’t had the chance between … others telling him the same .  he was getting to the point where he thought he’d never tell him & , quite honestly , he could’ve lived with that .  he doubted he’d see kiryu much after all this anyways .  LITTLE point to it then .  

    but here the man is now , standing above tanimura’s tired & still drunk self .  he’s BARELY AWARE even of his surroundings , he just sees kiryu .  before he knows it , those words of admiration are slipping out before he can stop them … if you can really consider what he just said a compliment .  maybe something you’d say to someone you have nothing nice to say about after they’ve complimented you , more like it .  STUPID .

    good thing he’s too tired & drunk to care !

“Okay.  Genius idea.  I get a chainsaw --- just, like, a HUGE chainsaw.  Absurdly large.”  She mimes turning said chainsaw on and, judging by how she ‘holds’ it, Harley is imagining that it’s bigger than her.  “And then --- ha, holy shit, I --- and then you pick me up and THROW ME AND THE CHAINSAW AT YOUR ENEMIES.”

Will it be effective?  Probably not!  WILL IT SCARE THE FUCK OUT OF ANYONE WITHIN A THREE MILE RADIUS?  FUCK YEAH IT WILL!

money be damned,  and for a woman whose entire job revolves around how much money she’ll be getting at the end of it,  it’s a damn big deal to think such a thing.  but here’s the thing--  many people think sadie is stupid and always willing to risk her life.  that’s only partly true.  she wouldn’t mind possibly risking her life if she thought she stood a bit of a chance against her next hit.  but she just watched this kiryu guy knock down a dozen and a half guys as big as him (some even bigger) without breaking any sort of sweat or without getting hit once,  even though she could tell the men weren’t amateurs.  passerbys seem both terrified and intrigued,  whispering among themselves and trying to step over the sprawled bodies,  some groaning and some fully unconscious.  it doesn’t look like any of them are dead,  and she knows it’s because kiryu wasn’t trying to kill anyone.  it’s impressive,  really.  if it had been her,  they’d all be dead.  she has no problem with killing people--  it’s her job,  after all.  but not killing takes more talent than just going all out.  lots of self control and morality...  something foreign to her now,  almost as foreign as the glowing street lights and the smell of street food,  all different from america but still just as tempting.  maybe once she’s done with this,  she’ll head over to that takoyaki stand.  depending on how long this takes.  

“wow,  i can see why the bounty on your head is so damn high.  one of the highest i’ve ever seen,  ‘nd i’ve been doin’ this for a while,”  she approaches him all too casually,  hands rummaging around in the pockets of her jacket.  she’s got a gun hidden at her hip,  but she’s not reaching for that.  instead,  she pulls out a pack of cigarettes.  this should be the part where she’s trying to kill him,  but instead,  she offers one of the sticks to him.  it’s late.  from what she’s seen,  the police won’t bother showing up for this.  “kiryu,  right?  i’m sadie.  got hired by the omi alliance to take you down.  not the first,  definitely not the last.  you’re really disliked!”  she cracks a grin,  and when one of the knocked down men tries to reach for one of the blades on the floor,  she steps on his hand with her boot so hard she hears a crack.  then she takes the blade.  it’s nice and sharp,  and she likes sharp things.  “hope my japanese ain’t too bad...  been practicin’ for months,  now.”  / @dojiryu​

i actually, absolutely started cackling at this, oh my God. he worked so hard to break in majima, he’d die of hype before he even tried to drag kiryu down too.

What’s the fun in luxury if you’re in it alone? At least, that’s what Yufi thinks. She’s spent so much time herself that when she can rope someone into something, she tugs awfully hard on that leash.

Lucky for her, Kiryu’s always had a difficult time saying no to her. Granted, he pulls her out of her bubble on occasion too. Takes her out dancing to Maharaja, gets her to try combination beef bowls and convenience store malts. She’d never had instant ramen ‘til she’d seen it towering in piles over at his place. 

She thinks what he could use after ten years in the slammer is a bit of pampering. Yufi loves to spoil, herself, but most definitely others, and isn’t Kazzy of all people worthy of indulgences? He’d likely say no, but he ought to know she won’t take it for an answer. Especially when it comes to caring for him.

Ten years since she’s been able to see him face-to-face without a barrier of glass between them. Since they’ve been able to speak without a phone or other device to communicate with each other. She demanded he tell her the instant he got out-- because where he shouldn’t be isn’t some crummy hotel or crashing at some Tojo underling’s floor... he should be a place he considers comfortable.... and out of those crummy cotton jumpsuits.

Yufi was sure to buy matching silk pajamas for tonight. Twinsies have always been a cute trend; and while he was so quick to resist the idea of complimentary tats, surely this couldn’t be such a grave offense.

She chuckles when he sits down on her plush queen bed, and she curls up beside him, eager to touch, to hug, to embrace, to have a slumber party as if they’re still children. They can still be so jovial in their heart, can’t they? Her fingers brush over his cheeks, more hollow than she remembers. Her head tilts. Yufi clicks her tongue.  

❝ Let’s do skincare. I was due for a facial anyway, and while your pores are still open, this is as great a time as ever. Then we can splurge on all the snacks and movie time. C’mon, doesn’t that sounds like fun? ... I know you’re just as excited! ❞

He likes the haze of gin and tonic. He likes the buzz of mild sake and elaborate martinis, but the dizziness of a suckerpunch doesn't feel quite as smooth. Yagami staggers. Bumbling. Jumped. He careens and grabs onto some strapping arms, and round and round like a carousel does that world of his turn. Red. Red everywhere. Oh. What's with the shirt, he wonders? "Am I glad to see you, Kaito-san. You finally going respectable?"
