Finally got to the chapter introducing the 2 remaining selfish generals.
So heres my opinion on them
CERTIFIED BABY GIRL. amazining. Loved him. He reminds me of Ira (which honestly, not surprised. Warth and pride can be tied together) but he is really smug, and I love how he is way more leaning into the egocentrism then selfishness, expecially since he is the sin of pride. He Also cares a lot about Lust but that dosen't prevent him shit talking him in his face, Which is perfect. Caring about Lust is something that will be explored in a later chapter, but it's because Lust has helped him and sacrificed from his own body to keep Goma alive. Which make Goma really appreciate him, but he also seems to think of the others as his siblings, so he really cares about the whole team (this aspect also reminds me of Ira, but this is actually way stronger in Goma. While Ira cares for the others, it's very subtle and he shows it only trough actions. While Lust sees it whit honor, instead of being a tsundere. and out right yells at the cures 'how dare you do that whit Lust?' when they defeat him. Which is also different from Ira, as Ira dosen't take a grudge when his teammates are defeated. He seems worried when Bel gets swallowed into Proto jikochuu, but dosen't seem outraged. He says "Sorry, it's already too late" and dosen't move to help. So Ira is probably way more neutral, recognizing their defeat as their own fault. While Goma sees defeat as a bruise in the team's pride, and is revangeful. Probably also the reason why they are working despite king jikochuu's defeat. Honestly CHEFS KISS.
I didin't even mentioned how cool his attacks are, charging thunder into his limbs, then letting go as he punches or kicks. I would love to see it animated. Him shouting his attack names to look cool is also really fun and makes sense as the sin of pride. I love how egocentric he is.
Is a creep. I would compare him to Johnny Bravo, but that would be very offensive to the blonde icon. I think Lust was supossed to be comedic... As some elements of him are, like being a baby inside a robot armor, or his rat form, but making comments about being attracted to 14-15 year olds is very unconfortable. Tho, that might be intentional, as Rikka describes the way he speaks as disgusting, and seems to be intimidated by him like he is a predator/harasser
In one hand, I'm glad they characterized him as the sin of Lust, but I don't quite like the way they did it... Expecially because he is misogynist
My original interpretation of lust (before their designs ware even reveled, we just had the silhouettes and I got how was how worng) i thought of Lust as a nymphomaniac. More then that... I thought of the characther as a pedo, a zoo, like literally someone with all the existing paraphilias and fetishes simultaneously, being attracted no litteraly everyone. Which I didin't thought would be the canon at all, so i'm very displeased that i kind of got the pedo part right.... Despite that, it might be a good thing the characther is not pan/bi, because queer villain characthers is a troup that can be harmful (since it started as a way to antagonize queer people) Doki doki might already have a case of that whit Leva (as I've seen people point it out) and having a expecially unlikable villain characther demonstrating homosexual behavior MIGHT HAVE BEEN BAD expecially since it's a demon, the sin of lust, and It could have implied queerness as a deviation. Expecially if the characther was as shown having an deviated behaivour as harasshing young girls.
That being said... I don't like that guy. But i'm not totally opossed by the way he was characterized.
