Gwylan's grandparent was in love with Winter
I was digging in the code and I discovered the line where Gwylan reveals the Seabird's Lullaby.
"It's called Seabird's Lullaby. A song passed down through my family. My great <<grandmother/grandfather>> sang it to the orphans <<she/he>> took in back in the forties. Until the town deemed <<her/him>> unfit to be a caretaker due to a head injury."
I don't think anyone has mentioned this anywhere, but Gwylan's Grandmother/Grandfather's gender is the opposite of Winter's. If Winter is male, Gwylan's grandparent is female and vice verse.
EDIT: all the Gwylan experts have told me Winter has a whole storyline from the POV of Gwylan's family! I need to play it!!!
