Ray Dolby
You guys know who he is?
He is the guy that eliminated that hiss and popping crackle sound in audio.
He is the reason movies sound so crisp and clear.
He is the reason Dolby Digital exists today, and even Dolby Atmos.
He is the reason Star Wars sounded so fucking epic, even way back in 1979.
Ray Dolby, inventor of Dolby NR (Noise Reduction)
He passed away on September 12th, 2013.
