#57 - Green Long-Legged Fly

A Dolichopodid fly, most likely Heteropsilopus cingulipes, unless the Interwebs are letting me down. Quite a well-fed one, too. Excellent close-up of one here at Dave's Garden. Insects of Tasmania includes photos of one feeding. Brisbane Insects has a few that might be Heteropsilopus too. Predatory flies that hunt smaller insects, and that enjoy dances as part of their nuptial ritual. See here
