What if sight beyond sight sister is the loving one? Mao mao's doll did have her eyes

Maybe? but could be the hat sister too, she has real yellow eyes. And other option is that his mom give Mao the doll because is like his dad?

What if in the doll au, Shin Mao was also a kid like Adorabat and was doll-Mao's previous owner? (*listen to "When She Loved Me" from Toy Story 2 for extra effect)

That is a good plot! 

I was thinking about Mao being cursed and he lost his memory about who was him. He can shapeshift from doll to person (well cat person) few times at day but he stopped doing this because he scared people. Mao was cursed before his encounter with Bagderclops and for an accident they separate. A seller brought Doll Mao to Pure Heart Valley where Adorabat bought him.

One day the sky pirates discovered Pure Heart Valley and Mao decide to fight them and protect the Sweetypies even if doing that could push away Adorabat, but she was so happy that her doll was a hero!

 Eventually Badgerclops finds out Mao is in Pure Heart Valley.

They went to the cave but the treasure they found had the curse. Bao Bao still remembered the smell of Mao Mao and went to PHV, he was so happy to see Mao again but …

Mao can talk only in his person form, in doll form he can move and know what is happening but he cant talk.

So in the doll au, Mao Mao used to be a normal cat guy until he got cursed?

Yes! He was the young Mao Mao we saw in episode 10 but as I said after the curse he forgot everything before that moment, his family, his purpose, he even forgot that he was a normal cat. The only thing he could remember was his name and his fight instics.

During his quest to recover his memories, did doll Mao ever doubt his personhood, thinking that maybe he really was just a toy? That from the start, he was made to be a child's plaything?

Mao Mao used to think that! But Badgerclops always reminded him that a toy would never know how to fight like that and he told him that he must have been a warrior or a hero before the curse (for Mao’s good intentions)

Wait, what role does Badgerclops have in the doll au?

I confused the words “before” and “after” when I talked about Mao's encounter with Badgerclops. They met after Mao was cursed, and I still don't define well under what circumstances but Badgerclops is determined to help Mao recover his memory.

How would you imagine Mao Mao if he were Adorabat's living doll, akin to Toy Story or a more benevolent Chucky?

That would be so cute and awesome!! A little doll but can transform into a big heroic cat!
