Decoy Lyle / DollLyle
Super brief: A Spider!Lyle who can alter his form to become more humanoid, with a fragile grasp of it, risking completely losing the grip of the humanoid form and never reclaim it.
He's like Leigh, but with way way less control.
So I guess I haven't covered this because I'm lowkey nervous people just won't.... like it. Think I cling to the human design too much or such... Hhhhh I mean I guess I like playing around with it but... I enjoy the false nature of Lyle, his two natures and all... ALL of his natures that he is constantly fighting, hiding, is genuinely presenting, and when he is fake and false... and having it come out in some kind of twisted up version of himself where he never can remain One Thing, even after the Visitor leaves, he is ever changing. Where his perception of himself rules his transformation, and his carnal desires, the lower face, his ID if you will, can break through and use his EGO to its advantage, since the game has some fun elements of this in transformations already.
My Malleable Lyle headcanon is a part of this, so I'd say my Lyle has like.... 8 different forms or so, that I just... gotta draw eventually lmfao

Anyway so...
The idea is that while Lyle has his full spider form...
My Lyle can alter his body to appear more humanoid, with great effort, to appear more approachable. Like a spider luring you into his net, or just an awkward chud just wanting to not scare people away. It depends on which face is in control at the moment. Will this humanoid form be Lyle's old body remaining under his somewhat control... or will it be some sort of bait to lure people in? It is up to the two faces of Lyle to decide, his EGO (upper head) or ID (lower).
^ Sketch warnings, these are NOT finished. I'm leaning towards the latter but then I changed my mind on the legs and well... you get the idea, bro is still being baked in the oven.

The reason as to why he's called Decoy Lyle, and why I call this version of Lyle of mine DollLyle, is because my Lyle in general is very mechanical. He's distant, afraid to connect, always a little more machine than human, a little more Camera (I REALLY gotta draw my more robotic/abandoned/rusting away in his apartment like an object version of Malleable!Lyle ughhh so much to DO). He CAN connect with other people, and he almost did at some point... but he either lost it all right before the Visit, or he THOUGHT he did. So he retreats, and he becomes DollLyle. It's easier to just put a certain distance between yourself and others...
And this decoy version of yourself can make you appear like nothing is quite as wrong as it actually is.

If Leigh can transform into a beast, DollLyle can transform into a human. But with only great effort.. Concentration, intent to keep his body in check... because his true self is not a human anymore. He is a monster at his very core, he always knew this.
But he'll still lie, hide and pretend like he is somewhat normal. That nothing is wrong. That he isn't a sick rotten shell of a person who absorbs the life essence of others to feel more alive.
An example of Lyle's desires going mask off in his animalistic form, but his ID still trying to pretend like they're not lost to hunger for things that aren't theirs... we have the Decoy Lyle, the small head, the EGO, completely losing its sentience, dissociating, taking a backseat in the back of their mind. The lower mouth becomes more articulate, handles all the conversations, has full control of the arms and legs, while waving around the remains of its former self like it's still there, and not just constantly drooling for a photo or a bite. Venom in its fangs, an eager eye carried by bellows sprouting out of its spine, and a hungry mouth below the shirt, watching from many lenses.
So that's DollLyle and Decoy Lyle.
