Are you kidding me?! I was today years old when I discovered Ralph McQuarrie designed those ice spiders they used in The Mandalorian!!!

They were "first pictured in the 1995 reference book The Illustrated Star Wars Universe, written by Kevin J. Anderson and illustrated by Ralph McQuarrie" but there was a sketch of them in 1979 as well.

For 147: 'The Cobweb', by Raymond Carver

A few minutes ago, I stepped onto the deck of the house. From there I could see and hear the water, and everything that’s happened to me all these years. It was hot and still. The tide was out. No birds sang. As I leaned against the railing a cobweb touched my forehead. It caught in my hair. No one can blame me that I turned and went inside. There was no wind. The sea was dead calm. I hung the cobweb from the lampshade. Where I watch it shudder now and then when my breath touches it. A fine thread. Intricate. Before long, before anyone realizes, I’ll be gone from here.

((So I learned recently that you can have jumping spiders as pets, and even MORE recently that you can get them at our local pet store.......

Reading about how spiders can climb walls and ceilings and all kinds of smooth surfaces makes you wonder about Spider-Man

So through a series of unintended and unexpected events, during which one coworker started laughing so hard she actually started sobbing real tears and another coworker had to leave the room entirety to use her inhaler because she started wheezing, I have learned I actually look identical to a very specific Monster High character
