Because The Walking Dead is returning in just a few days, let’s go with Cloverfield.

If you were in the zombie apocalypse/alien invasion, would you hide, and if so, where would you hide? What group of people would you want with you through this? 

Ok first of all, I’ve been rewatching s4 and 5 of TWD because I’m a slut for bethyl and I hate that they fridged her character and second of all, omg yay, I have a really good apocalypse plan so thank you for indulging me with this question!

Ok so we’ll go with zombie apocalypse instead of alien invasion.

Now most pandemics don’t hit everywhere all at once, they slow burn across the globe in various hot zones—starting in smaller cities and then usually making their way to larger cities that have hubs of international transport.

(The Spanish flu of the 1900’s took almost two years to span the globe at the height of its existence—if I’m remembering correctly! Though with modern travel pandemics would tend to move faster today, though still not as rapidly as portrayed on tv!)

When the zombie plague makes it to America, it would be a wait and see kind of thing to evaluate where and how hard the city is being hit and what the response is by the government(if it’s the trump admin we’re all fucked).

From there, if things appear to be going badly and my city looks on the edge of collapse, I would pack up my car with bottles of water, medicine and first aid supplies, dry goods, clothes, my cat and my katana. (Yes I actually have a katana)

I’d drive to my father’s house in the mountains of Pennsylvania and take refuge there for a number of reasons.

It’s remote—smaller population equals fewer zombies to worry about

He has guns and knives and ammo

He has a garden as well as preserved/canned food and MRE’s.

My brother in law is a marine, my sister is a physicians assistant(like a doctor), and our neighbors are all gun owners and gardeners

Once there I would help fortify the house and surrounding property and try to outlast the worst of the pandemic.

cupcake - if you’re treating yourself, what do you do?

Come home and lock the door behind me; shut out the stress and negativity before I pick Loki up for some snuggles and kisses. Strip and change into my Wonder Woman robe, open a bottle of wine and let it breathe while I run the bath and light candles. Grab a good book or a fic and sink into hot water for a few hours and let the day just melt away.

Which....I may do this today actually lol this week has been unnecessarily stressful and I could use some time to wind down.

Mmm I used to play violin for like, ten years and was in the youth orchestra. I also almost went to school to be a chef!
