Where do you see yourself in 5 years?

In 5 years I’d hope to be graduated from UCLA with a bachelors in communications and working with a company that has a fusion of fashion (style/decor), event planning and travel as well as business! Aside from that I usually change my mind on what I want to do like once a year LOL so I can’t really decide! As long as I have my own appointment and I’m not drowning in debt I’ll be happy :)

Responding to your comment. Anxiety and other things that affect people mentally don't just go away so people use medication long term. Not quite the same thing but it's like someone with diabetes or HIV using meds for life. The difference is one is mental and the other is physical

Depends on the medication. Anti-depressants and anxiety medications are not meant to be taken permanently, I learned this in my neuroscience course. Medications for mental illnesses such as schizophrenia do need to be taken permanently, yes. But anti-depressants and anxiety medications are just to lessen the effects, it doesn’t make them go away. They are there as an aid to help a person get to be where they need to be on their own. I used to be on anti-depressants and I was told by my psychiatrist too that it is not to be taken for the rest of my life. I did get off of them and I am doing fine on my own now. Anxiety medications in particular are ones you can become dependent on and must be taken short term.

I’m not saying mental illness is different than physical, just that people seem to have misconceptions about medication.

If you still do not believe me, just do a Google search and you can find lots of resources about safely coming off psychiatric drugs and reasons why people do so.
