Uncharismatic Fact of the Day
How far would you go for a snack? For the pompano dolphinfish, no distance is too great! These fish are surface-dwelling carnivores, and will often travel hundreds of miles to find food. According to reports, one school followed a trail of sargassum (a type of brown algae) for over 370 km (230 miles) in search of smaller fish and invertebrates that might come to feed on it.
